WHAT IS DESIGN FOR CHANGE?
Design for Change (DFC) is a global movement that cultivates the ‘I CAN’ mindset in every child. This ‘I Can’ spirit empowers children and gives them an opportunity to express their own ideas for a better world and put them into action.
Design for Change was born out of the conviction that children are not helpless, that change is possible the belief that they can drive it. Through a simple design process of Feel-Imagine-Do-Share (FIDS for KIDS), children are designing solutions for some of the worlds greatest challenges!

HOW WE DO IT

FEEL
This step starts with defining the problem by first understanding the situation before solving it. This stage allows for empathy to be developed, a necessity for project success. -
IMAGINE
This step involves brainstorming solutions to improve, enrich and change the user experience. This stage is crucial for developing ethics and a mindset that helps drive the belief that change is possible and that children can drive it. -
DO
This step is about a creative agency and the ability to take timely action. This stage develops excellence. The focus on detail results in the desired ‘impact’ and improves the ‘quality’ of the experience. -
SHARE
This final step cultivates the abundance mentality and develops elevation Inherent in this step is the belief that the 'I CAN' spirit offers hope and inspiration for further change.
