In 2013, 17-year-old Emily and her friends at Guangdong Zhong Yuan High School, Guangzhou, were disturbed that streets were taken over by traffic, noise and pollution. To create awareness about air and noise pollution, they fiercely promoted the use of bicycles, with their awareness campaign reaching 20,000 people.
