In 2013, 17-year-old Helene and her friends from Club Tuseme, Zou, were distressed that the right to education was being denied to girls because of poverty, who were then given away in marriage. They organised street plays, got authorities to sign a petition banning forced marriages, garnered community support, and brought back one girl to school to complete her education.
